Portrait and Figure Sculpture: The technique of handling the terra cotta medium is taught in the context of building a hollow (ready to fire) figurative sculpture. Attention is given to the study of rhythm, anatomy, proportion, and other fundamentals that form the foundation of good figurative sculpture.

Master Portrait Painting Intensive: Using the methodology of separating drawing and color as its base, this course challenges students to re-envision their own painting process by studying the underlying approach of painters like Rembrandt, Titian and Caravaggio.

The Landscape in Opaque Watercolor: Students will explore the medium of opaque watercolor by painting the landscape in Staunton, Virginia. The versatility of opaque watercolor as a sketching medium will be highlighted through exercises and instructor demonstrations.
